I am an UX Designer who thrives within tight deadlines and ever-changing client expectations to discover the best possible solution to a complex problem.
I have been a lot of things. An English teacher in South Korea, a radio show host, a volunteer at the Adler Planetarium and have worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While my undergraduate degree was in marketing from Indiana University, I couldn’t find a position after school that fulfilled my Millenial idea of a dream job. To see if the grass really was greener on the other side, I sold everything and fulfilled my dream of moving to another country. While I learned a lot about the world and myself while traveling, after I got home I found myself once again asking what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Cue my meet cute with UX/UI Design. I couldn’t believe I had found a field where I got to be creative every day, there would always be more to learn and the more empathetic and curious I am the better. I applied to and attended DESIGNATION, a UX/UI boot camp here in Chicago the following summer. During school, I fell in love with finding out what the users wanted, telling their stories in beautiful ways and using design to solve complex problems that seemed impossible. Through my experience as a UX/UI intern at Perkins+Will and my time as a UX Researcher at Impact Networking, I have continued to grow as a designer and a researcher.
In my spare time, I enjoy debating any sci-fi or fantasy universe and daydreaming about my future dog. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at (812) 677-8364 if you are interested in working with me or have a good sci-fi book recommendation.
